NZ's famous Christmas tree. You can't see a pohutukawa tree in full bloom without thinking of summer. Our native Tui birds love the nectar and make a pretty picture as they flutter around with their iridescent feathers contrasting with the rich red flowers. A lovely painting for a beach house.
