While this is an abstract using oil paint and silver leaf, it is a depiction of Bream Bay. Ruakaka Beach looking towards the sun coming up just behind Whangarei Heads. The silver leaf is a good representation of how the weather sparkles and shimmers in the first morning light on a clear day.
